TSUJIMOTO DENIM FACTORY がある秋田県能代市は、日本海、米代川、白神山地に近い、秋田県北部のまちです。豊かな自然に囲まれたこの場所で、私たちはデニムの縫製とセミオーダージーンズづくりを続けています。
TSUJIMOTO DENIM FACTORY is based in Noshiro, Akita, in northern Japan. It is a city close to the Sea of Japan, the Yoneshiro River, and the Shirakami mountain area. Surrounded by nature, we continue to sew denim and make semi-custom jeans here.
海外の方に秋田を紹介するなら、東京や大阪のような大都市とは少し違う、静かで自然が近い日本です。雪の多い冬、緑の深い山々、日本海からの風、昔から続く手仕事の文化。秋田には、派手さよりも、時間をかけて丁寧にものを作る空気があります。
For people visiting from overseas, Akita is a quieter side of Japan, very different from big cities like Tokyo or Osaka. It is known for snowy winters, deep green mountains, the Sea of Japan, and a culture of careful handwork. Akita is not about speed or flashiness. It is a place where people take time to make things properly.

A City Near the Sea of Japan and Shirakami Mountains
能代市は、秋田県北部に位置し、米代川が日本海へ注ぐ地域にあります。白神山地の山並み、日本海、米代川など、自然の存在が日常のすぐ近くにあるまちです。
Noshiro is located in northern Akita, where the Yoneshiro River flows toward the Sea of Japan. The mountains of Shirakami, the river, and the sea are all part of everyday life here.
能代は「木都」とも呼ばれ、秋田杉や木材産業と深く関わってきた土地でもあります。ものを大切に扱い、素材と向き合いながら形にしていく感覚は、デニムづくりにも通じるものがあります。
Noshiro has also been known as a city of wood, with a long connection to Akita cedar and the timber industry. That attitude of respecting materials and working carefully with them feels close to the spirit of denim making.

Noshiro Is Also Known as a Basketball City
能代を語るうえで欠かせないのが、バスケットボールの文化です。能代市には、全国的な名門として知られた旧・能代工業高校、現在の能代科学技術高校があります。高校バスケットボールの歴史に大きな足跡を残してきた学校で、能代は「バスケの街」としても親しまれています。
Another important part of Noshiro's identity is basketball. The city is home to the former Noshiro Technical High School, now Noshiro Science and Technology High School, a legendary name in Japanese high school basketball. Because of this history, Noshiro is also known as a basketball city.
また、人気漫画『SLAM DUNK』に登場する強豪校「山王工業高校」は、旧・能代工業高校がモデルとされることでも知られています。デニムや縫製のものづくりだけでなく、スポーツの記憶も息づくまち。それが能代の面白さのひとつです。
For many manga and basketball fans, Noshiro has another special meaning. Sannoh Industry High School, the powerful team in SLAM DUNK, is widely said to be inspired by the former Noshiro Technical High School. Noshiro is not only a place of denim sewing and craftsmanship, but also a city with a deep basketball story.

Sewing Work Has Long Been Part of Akita
秋田県には、かつてから衣服・ジーンズの縫製工場が点在し、多くの人が縫製の仕事に携わってきました。県内の縫製業は、地域の雇用やものづくりを支える産業のひとつとして発展してきた背景があります。
Akita has long had apparel and jeans sewing factories, and many people in the region have worked in sewing. The sewing industry has supported both local employment and manufacturing culture in the prefecture.
デニムで特に知られている例が、EDWINを支えてきた秋田の縫製工場です。EDWINのジーンズづくりを長年支えてきた秋田ホーセ五城目工場は、2024年に「EDWIN BASE」としてリニューアルされ、現在も高付加価値な商品の開発・生産を担っています。
One well-known example is the Akita sewing factory that has supported EDWIN denim production for many years. Akita Hose's Gojome factory was renewed in 2024 as "EDWIN BASE" and continues to develop and produce high-value jeans.
つまり秋田は、ただ自然が豊かなだけの場所ではありません。ジーンズを縫う人、工場で働く人、素材を製品に変える人たちの手仕事が、長く息づいてきた地域でもあります。
In other words, Akita is not only a place rich in nature. It is also a place where the hands of sewing workers and factory teams have helped turn fabric into finished garments for many years.

TSUJIMOTO DENIM FACTORY は、秋田県能代市でデニムの縫製を行う小さな工場です。大きな量産工場とは違い、一本ずつ内容を確認しながら、サイズ、紙パッチ、タブ、ボタン、リベットなどを選べるセミオーダージーンズを製作しています。
TSUJIMOTO DENIM FACTORY is a small denim sewing factory in Noshiro, Akita. Unlike large-scale mass production, we check each order carefully and make semi-custom jeans where customers can choose details such as size, paper patch, tab, buttons, and rivets.
50年にわたり培ってきた縫製技術を受け継ぐ製作チームが、工程ごとに協力しながら一本ずつ仕立てています。秋田・能代という土地で受け継がれてきたものづくりの空気を、ジーンズという形で届けたいと考えています。
Our production team carries forward sewing expertise developed over 50 years, working together across each step to make every pair. Through denim, we hope to share the manufacturing spirit that has continued here in Noshiro, Akita.
